Demise: Sunday, August 5, 2007 ~ Heartland of Brooksville
Amanda, an only child gave birth to seven daughters and one son; one daughter preceded her in death, Debra Williams Blake.
Affectionately known to all as “Ms. Manda” or “Grandma Manda”, she moved to Brooksville in 1985. Never being a woman without her children and grandchildren, she financially moved most of her adult children and grandchildren to Brooksville to be with her. She was always an exceptional mother and grandmother. Amanda provided not only for her family but to many other people in her community. Her inner strength to give to others was her God sent gift. She gave when she had little.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, six daughters, Katherine Williams, Paula Williams, Pamela Welch all of Chicago, IL, Janice Williams of Spring Hill, FL, Barbara Williams and Marcia Williams (James) all of Brooksville, FL; one son, James Williams of Brooksville, FL; thirty-one grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; two “special daughters”, Deborah Clemons and Jackie Jones; lifelong friend, Edna Rae Jelks; her next door neighbor and special friend, Annie Cal Washington. She will be greatly missed by all.
