Obituary for ANTHONY O. MCGILL
Obituary
  Anthony O’Day
Â
McGill, Sr.
Â
On Dec. 4, 1955 the sun arose and Anthony O'Day McGill was born. He was the first of his mother Gladys' four loving children. In 1963 Anthony and his family moved to New Jersey where he continued his education; he graduated from Eastside High School in 1974. Â
Anthony had many things to be proud of, but one very honorable accomplishment was his service to his country in the National Guard. His sense of dedication was shown through his work ethic while he worked for Coca Cola bottling in New Jersey and later in Florida. Â
A man of fun, Anthony knew how to have a good time and he was always ready with a quick rejoinder. He was also a devout Christian. As a faithful member of Victorious Church of God by Faith he accepted Jesus Christ into his life. His love for the church, displayed by his loyal membership and his dedication as a van driver for the church, was undying.Â
On November 4, 2012 the sun arose and God called his soldier Anthony home to live in never ending peace. He leaves to cherish his memory a wife, Laura, who stood by his side; three daughters: LaTanya (deceased), Gladys, and Nastacia; two sons, Quincy and Anthony Jr.; three step-children, Kayla, Robert, and Johnnas; four grandchildren, Da'Von, Rah'Zon, Dez'Teny and Rah'jahmere. He also leaves behind a loving mother Gladys (James - deceased); two sisters, Audrey (Michael) and Myra (Glenn - deceased) and one brother, Vernon (Marlene); two uncles Jeff (Lula Bell) and Robert (deceased) ; one aunt, Dorothy (Joseph), as well as a host of nephews, nieces and cousins including a very special friend Gregory Brown.
