ARTHUR SUMERLIN, JR.

Born to the parents of Arthur Sumerlin, Sr. and (former) Alice Rooks in Selma, Alabama on March 8, 1952. Upon graduating from Hernando High he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps where he served his country for over six years. Mr. Sumerlin continued to serve his fellow service men and women through his employment at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Tampa, FL, prior to relocating to the Atlanta area for the past thirty years.

Arthur will be greatly missed by those who loved him.

A loving wife, Frances Elaine Sumerlin, a dedicated mother and father, Alice Rooks and Arthur Sumerlin, Sr., and (7) wonderful children, Roslyn Sumerlin-Stephens (Adrian), Arthur Sumerlin III (Darlene), Alicia Sumerlin-Gordon (Fred), Erica Parker (Corey), Tara Sanders, Emanuel Sumerlin and Valenthia Kyser. He also leaves (14) devoted siblings, Edwards Sumerlin, Juanita Harris (Robert), Rosita S. Harmon (Lewis), Herbert Smith, Jr. (Josephine), Joyce Mitchell (Joe), Vera Harvey (James), Arthur Sumerlin, Jr. (Bridgett), Larry Sumerlin (Adrinna), Michael Sumerlin (Shalaine), Marilyn Sumerlin (Frank), Carolyn Smith, Yvonne Smith (James), Allen Densley, Glenn Densley, Corinthia Sumerlin (deceased) Doris Blunt (deceased), (12) grandchildren, and (1) great-grandchild.
