Albert accepted Christ at an early age at Holy Band D.T. Church in Brooksville, FL, where he was an excellent drummer for years, and he also sung in the choir. Albert, more affectionately called Chucky by family and friends, was loved by his church members in Brunswick, GA, Atlanta, GA, Monroe, NC, Ocala, FL, Sarasota, FL and Brooksville, FL. At the General Assembly during June in Brunswick, GA, Chucky would serve food to all with a big smile, with his pleasant demeanor and big heart. He graduated from Central High School in 2003. He attended Culinary Arts School in Orlando, FL and earned a degree as Chef. He always wanted to drive trucks because his grandfather, Henry Mathis and uncles, Brian Thomas and James Lumsden, Jr. were all truck drivers.
Chucky met and married the love of his life in 2013, Melissa Vasquez. They had a beautiful wedding on July 13, 2013, performed by his loving grandmother, Prophetess Stella Williams. That was a special honor to him. Chucky moved his family to Allentown, PA in 2015 and started driving trucks and working in a restaurant. He and his family visited home (Brooksville, FL) during the July 4th holiday. He was very happy being home with family and friends.
He departed his earthly life on September 18, 2017, breaking the hearts of all his family and many friends.
Chucky leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Melissa; three loving children, Jolyssa, Joseph and Jodeci; loving parents, Albert and Yulonda Mathis; loving maternal grandmother, Prophetess Stella Williams; loving sisters, Nakeittia and Dionndra Mathis; loving aunts, Geraldine Carr (John), Vernia McNair, Cynthia Munford (Jeff), Angela D.
