Deacon Alfred Twiggs, Jr.
Born:          January 11, 1928
Parents: The Late Alfred Twiggs, Sr. and Lillie Bell Twiggs
Married: Mother Ruth Twiggs 
Religious Affiliation:     Deacon Alfred Twiggs was a faithful member of First Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, joining under the pastorate of the late Rev. James Brooks. He was ordained as a deacon under Rev. Brooks’ leadership and served as a deacon from the time of his ordination until his death.  Through  the  years,  he  actively  served  on  the  following ministries: Deacon, Trustee, Finance, Cafeteria, Sunday School Superintendant and Choir. He was always willing to serve  in any capacity in the church.  He worked diligently until his health began to fail and he was unable to attend. He still maintained his love for the church and kept up with all activities. 
Hobbies:     Cooking, Hunting, Farming, Fishing, Traveling 
Demise:       May 12, 2014 
He leaves to cherish memories: a loving and devoted wife, Mother Ruth Twiggs. Seven Sons:  Dixie Hollins (Robyn), Crystal River, FL; Alfred Twiggs, III (Marsha) (son preceded him  in death),  Statesboro,  GA;  Anthony  Williams,  St.   Petersburg, FL; Travis White, Gainesville, FL; LeRoy Leaks (Rhonda), Clinton, MD; Dennis Houston (Stacy), Waldorf, MD; David Houston, Crystal River, FL. Five Daughters: Betty Goode (Harold), High Springs, FL; Cynthia Frazier, Dunnellon, FL; Pamlamia George (Johnnie-Deceased); Shirley Futch, Hernando, FL; Margaret Simmons (Robert), Hernando, FL; Sisters: Clementine “Berry” Milton, Ft. White, FL; Addie Mae Robinson, Trenton, NJ. Brothers: Joe Waters,  St.  Petersburg,  FL; Eugene Taylor (Frances), Dunnellon, FL;  Herman  Taylor,  Tampa,  FL.  Thirty   Grandchildren, Thirty-five Great Grandchildren, and Six Great,  Great  Grandchildren.  Special Friend:  Deacon    Edward Washington, Sr.; Special Pastors: Rev. Michael Warren, Rev. Nathaniel Rawls, Jr., Rev. Allen Brooks; Three God Children: Randolph, Donna and Craig Bellamy; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
