   Barbara Jean McCray

Minister Barbara Jean McCray lived her life standing on and in the will of God.  She was ordained in the early 90’s as a Minister at the Josephine Street Church of the Living God.

She loved the Lord immensely and she loved her church and family very much.  She was a loving and caring person, kind to anyone in need, very devoted in friendship, fair in conversation as she always had a listening ear, and a Word from the Lord.

Minister Barbra was born in Brooksville, Florida on September 13, 1949 to the late Joe McCray and Mary Lee McCray.  At a tender early age she accepted Christ and His atoning blood as her eternal salvation.  , there wasn’t a day that she didn’t pray for her church, family or read her bible.

On Tuesday morning, April 10, 2012 the voice of the Master whispered softly, and welcomed His precious servant home, and she answered the call peacefully.
Among those who acknowledge Minister Barbra Jean’s graduation to the very presence of God, and who cherish her memory are her Loving Sisters: Christine Calhoun Clark (Jeremiah-deceased), (Sarasota), Ruby Mason (Napoleon-deceased), (Clearwater), Leola Jones (Ft. Worth, TX), Maelois McCray-Johnson (Claude) (Brooklyn, NY), and Sheryl McCray (Brooklyn, NY). Loving Brothers: John McCray (Florence) (Tampa), Willie McCray (Okeechobee), and Benonn McCray (Barbra) (Bridgeville, Delaware). Loving First Cousins reared as sisters and brothers:  James A. Brown (deceased), Samuel Brown Jr. (Brenda)(Daytona), MaryLou Ingram(Tampa), Leola Brown(Brooksville), Willie E. Brown (Cora Mae)(Spring Hill), Louis Brown (Cora Lee)(Sanford), Patricia Peoples(Sanford), Otis Brown (Bertha)(Brooksville), Leon Brown (deceased), Linda Brown(Sanford). She had a hand in raising 6 of her nieces and nephews: Gerrald Dwyane Clark (Orlando), Dale O. Clark (Charlotte, NC), Christy Cla rk Brown (Tallahassee), Tangela Mason (Brooksville) Tawanda Mason (deceased), Trinette Masson (Brooksville).  Three dear friends: Sis. Mary Cason, Rev.
