The book of Life was opened for Beatrice Goolsby-Perryman on January 1, 1933, in Inverness, Florida. Beatrice was the second child born to the late John Goolsby, Sr. and Halloween Weaver.

Beatrice attended school in Inverness, Florida. Beatrice was also joined in Holy Matrimony in 1947 to the late Willie Wright Perryman.

Beatrice was well known by all the children in her neighborhood as “Miss Big Mama”, a name given to her by her grandchildren.
