Beatrice Goolsby-Perryman
The book of Life was opened for Beatrice Goolsby-Perryman on January 1, 1933, in Inverness, Florida. Beatrice was the second child born to the late John Goolsby, Sr. and Halloween Weaver.
Beatrice attended school in Inverness, Florida. Beatrice was also joined in Holy Matrimony in 1947 to the late Willie Wright Perryman.
Her acceptance of Christ as her lord and savior came at an early age. Beatrice joined St. James A.M.E. Church and was a faithful choir member until her health prevented her from active participation. She was responsible for organizing the choir at St. James A.M.E. Church, which included all of her children, Pherdoris Owens-Franklin and Kenneth “KC” Thomas.
Beatrice was well known by all the children in her neighborhood as “Miss Big Mama”, a name given to her by her grandchildren.
Loving mother of 13 children, being preceded by 4 of her children and 1 grandson. She leaves to cherish her memories:

(Sally) Perryman, Ocala, FL; Brothers: Otis Goolsby and John (Barbara) Goolsby, all of Inverness, FL; Brother-In-Law: John Atkins, Holder, FL; Sister-In-Law: Elsie Perryman, Boston, MA; Twenty (20) grandchildren, Twenty-eight (28) great-grandchildren; Three (3) special friends: Mona Berry, St. Petersburg, Dora M.
