Obituary for Betty Louise Harrington
Betty Louise Harrington was born November 2, 1944 to Johnnie Harrington and Jenice Roache. She was prematurely born weighing only 2 pounds. From birth, she had the odds pitted against her but God seen fit that her time was not yet done but had only begun. She was a Florida native born and raised and graduated from Moton High School. She was affiliated with the Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Her life career was spent as the nanny to the Bronson’s. She relished the role of caregiver in helping to raise the children and then also the grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bronson. They became her extended family members as she traveled the world extensively with them. Family gatherings were very important to her as she loved to cook and bake. Sundays were her big meal days where she wanted all family to come over and eat together. Betty looked forward to all holidays as she loved to decorate especially for her favorite holiday time which was Christmas. She loved gardening which included her growing florals, fruits, peppers and even grapevines. Ms. Betty loved shopping and to be fashionable and trendy with her style. She was a movie buff, especially sci-fi and horror movies and a daredevil as she went to Halloween Horror nights and went parasailing. Betty was strong in dealing with all situations and was a tough cookie. She was fearless and in one of her last conversations she said, “I’m not worried, I’ve lived a long like, so when God calls me home I’m ready.”
She was preceded in death by her father Johnnie Harrington and mother Jenise Roache, brother Walt, brother James, sister June, and sister Carol.
Betty Harrington will always be loved and missed by those she left here on earth:
