Charles was born in Bessemer, AL where he spent most of his childhood. He moved to Brooksville where he graduated from Moton High School. He then moved to Detroit where he worked for the Chrysler Corporation for 32 years. Charles moved back to Brooksville in 2000.
Charles leaves to cherish his loving memories:
5 sisters: Annie Mae Jackson, Mary Ann Lynch (Frank) both of Brooksville, FL, Angela Jones (Kelvin) of Jemison, AL, Audrey Arrington (Tyrone) and Ariniener Gail Milton both of Michigan.
5 brothers: John J. Johnson, Jr. (Dale) of Bessemer, AL, Raymond Milton, Jr. of Michigan, Anthony Milton of Alabama, Leonard (Roy) Ford of Michigan and Tracey Alexander of Michigan.
2 Aunts: Linda Jean Caldwell (Rufus Caldwell, Sr.) and Lurline Milton both of Alabama.
1 Uncle: Henry Milton (Patricia) of Alabama and Thomas (BayBay) Milton (deceased).
A host of nieces, nephews, a host of cousins and friends; devoted and loyal cousins, Shirley Ann, Izell “Jackie” and Rodney Owens also loyal and devoted friends of Oak Park Apartments and of Alabama.
