Sis. Constance Lawson was the daughter of the late Deacon James and Idella Hart Washington. She was a lifelong resident of Brooksville, FL. She attended school in Hernando County. Sis. Lawson was preceded in death by her daughter, Sis. Carla Jean Washington. She leaves to cherish her memory, three sons, Calvin Washington (Angel) , Homer Lawson, Jr. (Norma) and Tony Lawson; two brothers, James Washington (Annie Ruth) and Curtis Washington (Heidi); two sisters, Alyce Walker and Annie Carol Washington; four grandchildren, Yolanda Washington, Christine Washington, Jeremey Lawson and Jordon Lawson; five great-grandchildren, Frédejah Walker, Kendice Carter, Kendrick Carter, Jr., K’lan Carter and Kyla Carter; two special neices, Pamela Washington and Wanda Black; one aunt, Sis. Margaree Hart; her best friends, Minnie Stephens and Theresa Perkins, and a host of sorrowing neices, nephews, cousins and friends.
Sis. Lawson was a dedicated member of Bethlehem Progressive Baptist Church where she was baptized early in life. Serving as a member of the Pastoral Insprirational Ministry. She was also a member of St. Mary’s Lodge #21, IF&AM Masons Order of Eastern Star and the Hernando County Branch of the NAACP.
Constance was known for and will be remembered for her desserts and other delicious culinary delights.
