Obituary for Catherine Louise Timmons Hudson
Mother Catherine Louise Timmons Hudson was born October 14, 1940, in Brooksville, Florida to the late Levi and Rosa Timmons. She was the tenth of eleven siblings. She attended public schools in Brooksville, Florida and matriculated at Moton High School. Catherine united in holy matrimony to Richard Hudson, Jr. in 1962. She retired from Lykes Memorial Hospital (Brooksville Regional Hospital) where she worked as a Dietary Aide.
Catherine accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior early in life and served as a faithful daughter. She was an active and current member of Encouraging Words Ministry in Brooksville, Florida where she served as an Honorary Mother of the church.
She departed this life peacefully on July 29, 2016, at the age of 75.
She was preceded in death by her son Kelvin Dexter Timmons and 9 siblings- Levi Timmons, Robert Timmons, Clarence (Estella) Timmons, Sarah Ferguson, Joyce Elizabeth Richardson, Edmund Timmons, Anthony Timmons, Queenie T. Dye and Eloise D. Lane.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories: Husband Richard Hudson, Jr.; Children – Angela (Charles) Bottom (Brooksville), Janice Greene (Orlando), Richard (Teri) Hudson, III. (Brooksville), Malcolm Hudson (Brooksville), Elvira Hudson-Fribley (Brooksville) - Brother, Eugene (Inez) Timmons of Sarasota, FL – Sister, Rosa (Walter) Carter of Brooksville, FL –Granddaughters: Nicole Young, Patricia Cook, Shaterica Marks, Ceceila (Luke) Sanders, Shakedra Hudson, Charlette Bottom; Olivia Hudson - Grandsons: Anthony Brown, George Fribley, III., Jonathan Greene (Delicia), Malcolm Hudson, Jr. , Richard Hudson, IV and Jaylen Harris, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and sorrowing friends.
