Obituary for Dora Williams
"I waited Patiently for the Lord: and He inclined unto me, and heard my cry" Psalms 40:1

On Sunday night, December 9, 2008, our beloved DORA DAVIS WILLIAMS departed this life at Shands Hospital, Gainesville, FL after a long illness. The daughter of the late Richard Williams, Sr. and Jessie Wormly Davis born January 15, 1948 in Uniontown, AL.

Dora was educated at Robert C. Hatcher School in Uniontown. She accepted Christ and became a member of the Living Hope Baptist Church. She later got married to Grady Williams and this union was blessed with three children.

Dora relocated to So. Fallsburg, NY where she worked at Imperial Schrade Company, Ellenville, NY. She was always a peoples person and started new employment at Monticello Hospital in the Housekeeping Department. After many years she returned to her home state Alabama where she was employed at Perry County correctional Facility as a cook/dietary aide for four years.

After becoming ill she went to Brooksville, FL to live with her baby (Kizzy). Her church affiliation was the Holy Band Deliverance Temple of Brooksville. Even through her illness she was a fighter, a strong woman that never complained.

She was always a hard worker no matter what task she chose to do. Dora had great joy when she worked in the house and yard with flowers, giving them names and talking to them constantly.
