Ethel (Wormley) Leonard

To be absent from the body, is to present with the Lord! Sister Ethel finished her race here on earth, Friday July 3, 2009 at 4:04 A.M. at her son-in-law and daughter’s home (Christopher Sr. and Juanita [Leonard] Williams), in Brooksville, Florida.
Ethel was born to the late Abe Wormley Sr., and Dora (Johnson) wormley on Decemeber 20, 1932 in Uniontown, AL. She was a devoted wife and mother of thirteen children (ten sons and three daughters).
Ethel’s life and memories will be cherished by her dear sister, Mary Lee (James Aruthur) Page, of Union Town, AL and her brother, william Wormley, of Mobile AL; one daughter, Juantia (Christopher) Williams of Brooksville, FL; six sons, Robert Leonard (oldest living) of Brooksville, FL, LC Leonard (Shirley) of Brooksville, FL, Leon Leonard of Brooksville, FL, Jimmie Leonard (Linda) of Spring Hill, FL, George Leonard, Brooksville, FL; one special son-in-law, Christopher Williams, Sr. husband of Juanita; two special grandsons, Christopher Williams, Jr., and Avery Williams; ten grandchildren, Dorothy Harvey (the oldest), of Brooksville, FL; Audrey Williams of Bartow, FL, Jimmie Leonard, Jr. of Tampa, FL, Marquita Leonard of Clermont, FL, Katrina Leonard of Webster, FL, Tony Leonard of Michigan, Patricia (Leonard) Ingram (Jason) of Webster, FL and Jeremy Leonard of Allenhurst, GA; twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. A host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Special Recognition: We honor our brother-in-law and our sister (Christopher, Sr. and Juanita) and Thusitha and Helen Williams for the extra special love and care given to our mom.
Preceding Ethel in death, her husband, John Leonard, Sr. (August 1972); her sons: Waddle, aka “Menno” (May 17, 1995); John, Jr. aka “Tinbucket” (July 16, 1997); James, aka “Bull” (April 25, 1999); and Willie, aka “Jelly Pot” (May 22, 2003); her daughters: Esther Mae and Mae Alice; and her daughter-in-law, Joann Leonard (April 21, 2008)
