Ernest Bernard Scriven, Sr.
AKA: Bernard, Skeeta, Turk
On August 6, 1953, the Lord Blessed the late Louis Scriven and Ernestein Scriven Schlueter with Ernest Bernard, Sr. He was one of eight children born to that union.
Ernest was a native of Crystal River, FL who attended all the local schools and graduated from Crystal River High School, Class of 1972. Throughout his school life he endured the love basketball; just as much as he enjoyed going fishing with his family.
He was a wonderful father , and loving grandfather.
Ernest was preceded in death by his father, Louis Scriven; daughter, Washanda Elizabeth Marie Scriven; granddaughter, Angel Blessinda Terrell; grandson, Simeon Bernard Hopkins, Jr., sister, Carolinda Smith; brother, Lorenzo Scriven; brother-in-law, Nelson Hopkins; nephew, Issac Hopkins; sister-in-law, Mary Scriven.
He leaves to cherish his memories: mother, Ernestine Scriven Schlueter; four daughters, Keyitha Scriven (Simeon), Preshus Robinson (Adam), Chanel McKinnon, all of Crystal River, FL and Shalena Scriven (Dre), Orlando, FL; two sons, Ernest “B” Scriven, Jr. (Irene), and Derrick Scriven (Heidi), all of Crystal River, FL; brothers, Lewis Scriven, Melvin (Carither) Scriven, and Norman Scriven (Ila), all of Crystal River, FL, Edgar (Vera) Scriven, Tampa, FL; sister, Erma Hopkins, Tampa, FL; sister-in-law, Roseland Scriven, Thonotosassa, FL; brother-in-law, Ron Smith, Tampa, FL; eleven grandchildren; a devoted mother of his six children, Deborah (Leonard) Johnson; two aunts, Mary Coleman, Tallahassee, FL and Martha Joyner (Ralph), Tampa, FL; uncle, James Faison, Crystal River, FL; special friend, Capricia Vickers; best friend, Lawrence Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and sorrowing friends.
