Obituary for Ethel Mae Drake Outlaw
Reflection of Life for...
Mother Ethel Mae Drake Outlaw
A limb has fallen from our tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter and the song. I’m counting on you to keep smiling and the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease and my soul is at rest; and remembering all, how I was truly blessed.
Death is just a detour along life’s wind way that leads Gods children to a bright and glorious day. The book of life opened for Ethel Mae Outlaw, she was born to the late Lizze and Major Drake, Sr. On January 16, 1933. in Uniontown, AL.
At an early age she accepted Christ as her Lord and Saviour. She joined the new Jerusalem Church of God under the pastor ship of Elder Hansberry.
She was welled loved by family and friends. On the day of November 21, 2015 Ethel heard the voice of Jesus say, “Come to me all ye that labor are heavy laden and I will give you rest.”
She leaves to cherish her memories and great expectations of meeting her again are: a devoted and beloved husband of sixty-three years, George Outlaw; her children - four daughters, Barbara Brown, Vernessa Saxton, Sharon Lazenby and Angela Outlaw all of Brooksville, FL; four sons, James Benford (Brenda) of Spring Hill, FL, Willie Outlaw, George Outlaw, Jr. and Johnathan Outlaw (Wanda) all of Brooksville, FL; two children preceded her in death, daughter, Ernestine Moore and son, James Henry Drake; 28 grandchildren, 23 of whom she helped raise, Octavia of Miami, FL, Corey of Ft.
