Obituary

Freddie L. Waddy, Jr.

Brother Freddie Waddy, Jr. was born on January 28, 1968 to Julie Blount and Freddie Waddy, Sr. in Brooksville, Florida.

He moved to St. Petersburg in 1969 where he grew into manhood. After graduating form Lakewood High School, he entered in to the United States Air Force. Freddie served more than twenty plus years combined in both active and reserve status.

He had a great love for antique and muscle cars. He devoted much of his time in restoring these automobiles, a trait he inherited from his father. Even when Fred was too weak to do car repairs for others, he would often walk his cousin through the steps of how to fix something that was wrong. He was known throughout the community as a kind and caring individual, always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be greatly missed. Most important, Freddy fully accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. To God be the Glory!

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving mother and father, Julie Blount of St. Petersburg, FL and Freddie Waddy, Sr. (Gerline) of Brooksville, FL; two daughters, Anaya Lene’  and Kamaria LeAna, both of St. Petersburg, FL; their brothers, Andre Southall and Derrell Holland of Brooksville, FL; four brothers, 1Sgt Eric Blount of Fort Gordon, GA; Nicholas Reese, Henry Waddy and Javon Waddy all of Brooksville, FL; two step-brothers, Samuel Madry, Jr. (Denise) of Atlanta, GA and Demetrius Madry (Carolyn) of Brooksville, FL; five sisters, Melody Brown of St. Petersburg, FL, Marsha Waddy of Detroit, MI, Avis Mathis, Tomeeka Waddy all of Brooksville, FL and Michelle Waddy- Benton (Tyrone) of St. Mary’s, GA; grandparents, Elmira Blount (Albert, deceased) and Lula and Henry Waddy, both deceased; very special and devoted aunts, Mary Calhoun and Hattie Washington, and cousin Willie Waddy, Jr. all of Brooksville, FL; and a host of very special aunts, uncles, and cousins.
