Obituary for George Mason, Jr.
Reflection of Life

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passes away. Revelation 21:4

George Mason Jr., known to most as “June”, was born to the late George and Lealer Mason on July 15, 1948, in Summerdale, AL. He moved to Brooksville at the young age of two and became a lifelong resident. George was a graduate of Moton High School and enjoyed his career as a truck driver for a local rock mine. George was a very outspoken person who loved to laugh and reminisce about the past. He loved his family deeply and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

George is preceded in death by two brothers, Napoleon Mason and Edward Mason; three sisters, Martha Mason, Georgia Harrington, and Geraldine Badger.

He will be missed dearly, but his memories will live on through his loving wife Barbara; seven children, Antoinette Mason, George Mason III, Dante Mason (JoSandra), Tellius Johnson, Andrea Mason, Crystal Mason, and Quan Mason; siblings, Herman Mason, Joe Stanley, Charles Mason (Mary Ann), Tommie Mason, Patricia Mason, Mary Craig, Linda Barabin, and Zona Mason; two sisters-in-law Ruby Mason and Elaine Mobley; three brothers-in-law Lucius Badger, David McClenton, and Willie Miller; 13 grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
