Obituary for IRENE KINCADE BOUIE
Obituary
Irene Kincade Bouie
It is well with my soul. Praise The Lord. It is well with my soul. I am free, praise The Lord, am free.
Life began for Irene Kincade on June 28, 1921 in Brooksville, FL. She was the third child born to the late Edgar Kincade and the late Jennie V. Mobley-Kincade-Hopkins.
At an early age she joined St. James Missionary Baptist Church of Brooksville, FL. Later years she attended Healing Temple Ministries, under the pastouralship of Supt. Freddie L. Hudson.
During the early 1960s, she met and married the late Eddie Bouie. As a young woman she worked in the fruit industry with her family and was also an employee of private homes.
Her hobbies included, socializing with family and friends, fishing and cooking. She was known for her sternness and being to the point, but in turn, also for her gentle heart when it came to others who needed her.
On the morning of November 29, 2009 she went safely into the arms of Jesus, safe in His gentle breast. She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar Kincade; mother, Jennie V. Mobley-Kincade-Hopkins; husband, Eddie Bouie; two brothers, Edgar Kincade, Jr. and James “Kent” Kincade; three sisters, Odis Kincade, Bessie White and Lou Ann “Punk” Hopkins.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving and caring children, daughters, Alice Rawls and Louise Langley (Calvin) and son, Willie Timmons (Anita); one brother, Andrew Hopkins (Birdie); one sister, Aretha Proctor (Marvin); one very devoted and loving sister-in-law, Romie Lee Kincade; seven grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and sorrowing friends; special friends, Annie Washington and LaRyan Clark; and a very special “little helper”, Heaven Lee who helped Irene with chores such as the working the microwave, cleaning greens and what ever else she could to help Irene remain functional in the household. She will be dearly missed by all.
