She was a faithful member of Bethlehem Progressive Baptist Church of Brooksville, FL , under the leadership of Rev. Cecil A. Hubbert. Mother Scrivens will and been greatly missed by her church family Bethlehem.
Sister Scrivens was preceded in death by her husband , Henry B. Scrivens, Sr.. She attended and graduated from Moton High School in Brooksville, FL. She was a Nurse at the local Hospital for many years, a Restaurateur feeding the many patrons of Brooksville, during the 1960’s and 1970’s, and later becoming a bus driver for the Hernando County Schools and the Key Training Center upon retiring.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three beautiful daughters, Virginia Thomas of Spring Hill, FL, Beverly Williams of Orange County, FL and Felicia Jones (Marion, Sr.) of Brooksville, FL; three handsome sons, Henry B. Scrivens, Jr. of Brooksville, FL, Darrell Scrivens of Brooksville, FL and Scotty J. Scrivens of Brooksville, FL; two beautiful sisters, Eva Baylor of Brooksville, FL and Laura Hudson of New Smyrna Beach, FL, a beautiful Aunt/Sister, Betty Oliver of Brooksville, FL; she has a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren (to include Felda Maner, deceased), other relatives and sorrowing friends. A special thanks goes out to Eddie Baylor, Jr., the Miller Family, Melony and Sebastian at Penical Healthcare and Dr. Michael Reynolds and his staff for her care.
