Mr. James Ellison, Jr.
Pistol & Mr. "P"

 
A Time to be Born:       James was born on June 1, 1931 in Union Springs,  Alabama to the late James and Beatrice Ellison.
 
A Time to Live and Work:      As a young man James moved to Brooksville and worked many years for Seaboard Coastline Railroad.  He was affectionately known in the community as “Pistol” and “Mr. P”. Later years, he met and married the love of his life, Lucile. He was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Coleman, Florida.
 
A Time to Depart for Eternal Rest:          James Ellison, Jr. departed this life on September 19, 2010.
 
A Time to Mourn:         He leaves to mourn his loving and devoted wife, Lucile; one son, Ernest James of Jacksonville, FL; one stepson, Samuel Davis (preceded him in death); three step-daughters, Verdell D. Young of Tarmarc, FL, Vanessa Pittman (Nehemiah) of Port Charlotte, FL and Orleanna Fluitt of Orlando, FL; seven grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren, Derrick A. Young (Shannon) of Apopka, FL, Ericka A. Bell of Brooksville, FL, Justin Mobley of Arcadia, FL, Miya d. Brewton of Tamarac, FL, Jalisa Davis of Arcadia, FL, Janai’ Mobley of Port Charlotte, FL and  Javorrye Ross of Port Charlottee, FL; five great-grandchildren; seven step-great grandchildren & one deceased; five brothers, Johnnie Ellison (deceased), Walter Ellison (deceased), Bishop Herman Ellison, Larry Ellison of Atlanta, GA and Arthur Ellison of Lithonia, GA; five sisters, Katie Moton, Alice Moton of Atlanta, GA, Frances Pledger of Stoneridge, GA, Cora Dulaney (deceased) and Doris Lawrence of Decatur, GA; ten sisters-in-law, Carrie Ellison (deceased), Cassie Ellison, Esther Ellison,  Linda Ellison, Barbara Ann Ellison, Annie Johnson, Grace Sanchez, Virginia Bivins, Jerrieleen Taylor and Patricia Hurst; eight brothers-in-law, James Moton, Eddie Turpin, Herman Lawrence, Jim Lucas, Leroy Jacobs, Robert Hurst, Clarence Bivins and Walter Taylor.
