Obituary for JIMMIE COBB
Brother Jimmie Cobb was born September 7, 1922 in Hurtsboro, AL to the late Dan and Lucinda (Banks) Cobb. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Lonnie Cobb, Nimrod Cobb, Dan Cobb, Jr., and one sister, Nancy Cobb Fears. Jimmie attended the local schools in Alabama and later served in the United States Army.  Brother Jimmie Cobb moved to Brooksville, Florida in 1947 where he became well known and loved by all. He joined Bethlehem Baptist Church in 1994, and he served faithfully until his ailment hindered him December 2006.  Brother Jimmie Cobb leaves to cherish his memories: ex-wife and devoted friend, Geneva Peeples from Brooksville, FL; one daughter, Katina Yvette Cobb and grandson, Malik R. Cobb from Brooksville, FL; two step-sons, T.J. Hasty and wife Irene from Jacksonville, FL, and Clifford Hasty from Brooksville, FL; two loving brother-in-laws: Juanita Smith from Brunswick, GA and Sallie Mae Landers from Hinesville, GA; one special niece Betty Ann Spencer of Columbus, GA; many nieces, nephews and devoted friends.  Brother Jimmie Cobb will be greatly missed.  Viewing: Friday, March 2, 2007 ~ Brooksville Chapel ~Brooksville, FL ~ 6-8 p.m.  Services: Saturday, March 3, 2007 ~ Bethlehem Progressive Baptist Church ~ Brooksville, FL ~ Rev.
