Joann Leonard was born August 11, 1965 in Gainesville, Florida were she later joined the Job Corps and received her mail clerk and nursing certificate. She later met and married Mr. Joe Leonard, moved to Brooksville, Florida and started a family. Joann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and beloved sister.

To cherish her memory: a loving husband, Joe Leonard; three daughters, Katrina (Reginald) Leonard, Patricia (Jason) Ingram and Luvennia Norwood; mother, Patrica Brinson of Gainesville, Florida; one brother, Fredrick (Lillie) Singleton of Gainesville, Florida; two sisters, Kimberly Chesney of Brooksville, Florida and Michelle (Walter) Furlow of Gainesville, Florida; six brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law; one sister who preceded her in death, Velma Ways of Gainesville, Florida; seven grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces, nephews and sorrowing friends.
