Jonathan Timmons “Joe” as he was affectionately called, was a quiet warm, loving and jovial person with a unique sense of humor. He was a family man who cared about his family and was always happy to be in their presence. Always the life of family gatherings. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Shirley Timmons Doyle and Patricia Timmons Doyle both of Lakeland, FL; one son, Ricky Timmons of Pasadena, California; a son, Barry Gene Timmons, who preceded him in death; one brother, Donald Timmons of Brooklyn, New York; 17 grandchildren; one aunt, Margaree Hart, of Brooksville, FL; two grandsons-in-law, Hercules Stancill and Terrell McNeil both of Lakeland, FL; two devoted caretakers, Mattie Pickett and Ruby E. Hart both of Brooksville, FL and a host of sorrowing relatives and sorrowing friends.
