Obituary for James Brown, Jr.
James Brown, Jr. was born in Ocala, FL on March 1, 1943 to the late James Brown, Sr. and the late Dorothy Lee Parker. James settled in Tampa in 1972 and married the late Annie Mae Brown. He was an entrepreneur, well-known for his famous crabs, in the bay area. He was a deacon at Idlewild Baptist, under the leadership of Pastor Ken Whitten. He was a Father, a friend, a brother, and a giant in the community.
He departed his earthly life on December 23, 2017. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mildred Terry, and his sister, Donnie Wise, 5 brother-in-laws, Willie Hollis, David Hollis, Thomas Hollis, Morris Hollis, Ullysses Hollis, three sister-in-laws, Bertha Houston (Pastor Demus Houston-deceased) , Mary Houston (Larry Scriven – alive), Rose Houston (Lloyd Houston- deceased)
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, four sons, Pastor Jeffrey Hollis, Lee Morris Brown, James E. Brown, Jermaine Brown, three daughters, Amelia Brown, Angela Reed, Neeunka Nikki Brown, five sisters Mother Barbara Harris, Mother Emma Thomas, Debra Jones, Sharon Brown, Janice Wise Harris, One sister-in-law Martha Lee Ward (Wallace), two brother-in-laws, Zebedee Hollis, Herbert Hollis (Stacey) and a host of grandchildren, great grand-children, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Flowers may be delivered to the funeral home starting at 9 am, Friday, December 29, 2017.
