“ I Did Not Go Alone”
If death should beckon me with out stretched hands and whisper softly of “unknown land.” I shall not be afraid to go, for though the path I do not know...I’ll take deaths hand without fear for He who safely brought me here, will also take me safely back. And though in many things I lack...He will not let me go alone into the “valley that’s unknown”, so I reach out and take death’s hand and journey to the “Promised Land”.
Deacon Leonard Michael Gray, Sr. was born on November 23, 1958 in Dade City, Florida, to the late Trustee Clarence Gray and the late Susie Thompson-Gray. He was converted at an early age and joined St. John M.B. Church under the leadership of Reverend Thomas. He was a loyal member and served faithfully on the Deacon, Trustee Board, van driver and culinary staff, where ever he was needed within the church.
He was a graduate of Pasco High School, Class of 1976. He was an employee of CF Industry, where he remained until his health no longer allowed him to work.
