Mack Davis, Jr.
Mack Davis, Jr. was born on February 28, 1920, to Lillie Mae and Mack Davis, Sr. in Arcadia, FL. He moved to Brooksville as a child and was enrolled in public school through the eighth grade. He joined the United States Army and served as a sergeant. Mack worked as a mechanic for many years at Register Chevrolet and concluded his career with the Pepsi Cola Corporation. He loved working on cars. Friends and neighbors often called upon him to repair their cars. In his later years, he spent hours in the back yard under a tree working on his truck.
Mack is survived by his loving wife, Sarah, son Mack and wife, Janette, daughter Angela and husband, Calvin, Myrtle Ann Davis, a daughter by a previous marriage, grandchildren, Jason, Mallory, Jennifer, and Joseph. Preceded in death by his sister, Cora Washington, he enjoyed the company of his nephews and nieces, Willie and Elizabeth Washington, Louise Hodges, Emma and Charles “Slim” Thomas, and Karen Washington.
