Marilyn Marie Owens
“Spice”
Marilyn Marie Owens (Spice) was born June 27, 1964 to Marion Owens and Jessie Mae Jones in Brooksville, FL. She attended Hernando High School and worked in dietary at Brooksville Regional Hopstital and McDonalds Restaurant. She was a member of Ebenezer Missonary Baptist Church; in her younger days she sang in the junior choir. Marilyn lived day to day just as she wanted; she was very giving and kind hearted, even though her health was failin gshe would often make others laugh and smile when in her presence. On Tuesday, November 4, 2008, god saw that she was getting tired and decided to grant her eternal rest. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
She is survived by a loving and devoted mother: Jessie Mae Jones; a caring and loving father; Marion Owens. Her devoted companion: Izell Owens. Four daughters: Shakeidra P. Owens, Sha`niqua L. King, chelsea M. Owens and Sha`kira N. Owens. Three grandchildren: Tajeshaun, Tajeshauna and Telandra. Three sisters: Gwendolyn L. Williams, Katrina A. Blake and R. Melissa Jones. Three step sisters: Blondell, Annette and Eleanor. Three nephews: Bobby Owens, Andre` Owens and Christopher Owens and a very special niece, Ejessica Owens. Two uncles: James Jones (Deloris) of Niagara Falls, NY, Lonnie Trenton of Brooksville. Two aunts: Willie Make Burks and Johnnie Mae Jones (Tampa, FL). A very special great aunt: Hattie M. Byrd (Booker) and several great nephews and nieces; a host of uncles aunts, cousins, Frineds and as devoted friends: Tisha Owens, Neisha Hill, Keisha Hill, Anita Washington, Jowatha Lee and Carla Brown.
