MILDRED HOLLIS Mildred R.G. Hollis was born in Augusta, Georgia, April 6, 1921 to the late Pearlie Mae Robertson (mother) and Willard Robertson (father). Mother Hollis was a faithful member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church of Hernando, FL since 1949. She served as church mother, Sunday school teacher (since 1964), active prayer band member, youth director, hospitality committee, deaconess, missionary board and choir member. Mother Hollis served in whatever capacity she was needed. Preceding her in death, her devoted husband, Willie Hollis, Sr.; four loving sisters; six children, Rose Mary Houston (daughter), David Hollis (son), Thomas Jefferson Hollis (son), Annie Mae Brown (daughter), Ulysees Hollis (son), and Willie Mae Hollis (daughter); God-daughter, Lettie Mae Smith. She leaves to carry on her legacy, seven children, Willis Hollis, Jr. of Ocala, FL, Bertha Houston ( Demus) of Hernando, FL, Mary Scriven (Lewis) of Hernando, FL, Zebedee Hollis (Gail) of Lecanto, FL, Martha Hollis Fisher, Hernando, FL, Morris Hollis (Dee Dee) of Hernando, FL, Herbert Hollis (Stacie) of Inverness, FL; two loving son-in-laws, Llyod Houston of Hernando, FL and James Brown of Tampa, FL; A total of one hundred twenty-one grandchildren to include, forty-seven grandchildren, sixty-six great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. She faithfully reared three of her grandchildren, Jeff Hollis (Donna) of Inverness, FL; Tammy Langley (John) of Eustis, FL; and Terence Hollis of Hernando, FL; like a daughter, Erie Tribble; God-child, Shamarae Robertson (Bear); three siblings, Eva Mae Smith (sister), Helen Hopkins (sister) of Crystal River, FL; brother, Willard Robertson of Boca Raton, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. We will miss our dear mother, who lead by example. She was a perfect example of a Proverbs 31 woman.
