Mae (Lois) Black-Hamilton
Sister Mae (Lois) Black-Hamilton was born in Brooksville, FL to the late James A. Black, Sr. and the late Alice Black. She was a faithful member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church of Brooksville, FL, under the leadership of Rev. Vinson Parnell.
Sister Mae Lois attended schools in Hernando graduating from Hernando High School class of 1973. Â After graduating high school, Sister Mae Lois attended Alabama State University where she received a bachelors degree. After graduating college she began employment with the Florida Department of Corrections where she retired after 30 (plus) years of service.
She leaves to cherish her memories, husband Lorenzo Hamilton; son, Keenan Deion Hamilton; four sisters, Deloris Jones (James), Daisy Black, Debra Black, Janice Burkes (Craig); two brothers, Jersey Joe Black and James Black. Special cousin and matriarch, Lucille Marks. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by sisters, Mary Roberts, Emma Frazier, Angelita Black-Mobley; brothers, James A. Black, Jr., Robert Lee Black and Charles Edward Black.
