Mary Ellen Barnes Booker

The earthly life of Mary Ellen Booker came to an end on Friday, June 16, 2017 in Dade City, FL. In the calmness of the morning, God gently called Mary to her heavenly home. She was born to the late Chancie and Cornelia Barnes in Sparta, GA on July 12, 1932.
Mary accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was faithful in serving until her death. She was educated in the Hernando County school system. During Mary’s latter years, she enjoyed doing word search puzzles and interacting with friends at the Senior Citizen Facility for the Aging . Mary loved her family and took pleasure in being surrounded by them.
Mary was married to the late Isaiah K. Booker. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Chancie, Jr. and Renzia; one sister, Rena Mae.
She leaves to cherish her memory three children: Violet Ellen Barnes of Dade City, FL; Frederick Eugene Barnes, Sr. (Jannie) of Pineland, SC and Shirley Ann Campbell of Niagara Falls, NY; three sisters, Cornelia McNear (Rufus) of Tampa, FL; Katie Inmon of Fall Church, VA and Elizabeth Washington (Willie) Spring Hill, FL; in addition, she leaves eight grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, 6 nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
