MSgt EVERGE SMITH Everge Smith was born in Hernando, Florida on December 2, 1931 to the late Alzo and Alberta Smith. He departed this life at Citrus Memorial Hospital on Friday, January 13, 2006, at 3:30 p.m. He retured to Inverness, Florida from Fort Smith, NH 30 years ago. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in both Koren and Vietanam Wars. He was a retired MSgt and was awarded the purple heart in the Vietanam War. He became a member of Greater Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Inverness, Florida, under the pastorate of Reverend Jeremiah Trotter. He served on the Trustee Board faithfully for several years. Everge leaves to mourn a devoted wife, Alwillie Smith and six (6) children: 2 Daughters -- Kim Marie Smith, Tallahassee, FL, and Lynette Bostic, Hernando, FL 4 Sons - Charles Allen Johnson, Everge J. Smith, Jr. and Larry Smith, Inverness, FL, and Anthony McCrimmon, Orlando, FL 3 Sisters - Eddie Lee Riley, Erie, PA, Ruth Twiggs and husband (Alfred), Hernando, FL, and Dorothye Smith, Ocala, FL 3 Brothers - Russell Smith and wife (Lucile), Hernando, FL, Robert Smith, Ocala, FL and Earl Smith, Silver Springs, MD 5 Grandchildren - Two dedicated: Levonte’ A. White and Larry A. Smith, Stacy Johnson, Chana Vann, and Kendra Bostic, also (4) Great Grandchildren 4 Sisters-in-law - Mary E.
