Brother Oliver was a long time resident of Dade City, Florida. He retired from the City of Dade City after 21 years of service. He joined St. John Missionary Baptist Church as a young man, where he served until his demise.

He leaves to mourn, Mrs. Trudy Capehart, a life long and dedicated friend and her daughters; one son, Franklin Reddick (Lois) of New York; two daughters, Yvonne Smith of Dade City, FL and Marie Standifer (John) of Orlando, FL; two brothers, Dave Smith, Jr. (Millie) and Gerald Smith, both of New Jersey; three sisters, Juanita Johnson (Herman) of Connecticut, Jackie Adams (A.V) of North Carolina, and Teresa Williams of Dade City, FL; one nephew, Ben Smith (Lois); two nieces, Carolyn Peterson (Anticious) and Ivare Palmer all of New Jersey; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends. He will especially be missed by a good friend, Mrs. Mary F. Graham.
