Obituary
Brother
Robert Drake
This day, we celebrate the home going of Robert Drake aka Bird Liver or Ding dong. He was born to the late Lizzie and Major Drake, Sr., on May 25, 1943 in Uniontown, Alabama. During his early child hood, he moved to Brooksville, Florida.
In the course of life, he became the proud father of Gail Lewis, Gloria Fribley, Emmanuel Southall, Robert Anderson and Willie Timmons (preceded in death).
Although he didn’t graduate from high school; however, he was well educated in life and a skilled laborer by trade and worked multiple jobs during his course of life.
Demised on June 18, 2012, but he’s not forgotten: he leaves to cherish his memories: children, Gail Lewis, Gloria Fribley (Winfred), Emmanuel Southall and Robert Anderson; three brothers, Major Drake, Jr. (Sarah), James Hall of Brooksville, FL and Clyde Jackson of Buffalo, NY; seven sisters, Ethel Outlaw (George), Mamie Davis of Brooksville, FL, Willye Mobley (Eddie), Katie Bryant of Spring Hill, FL, Minnie Byrd of Bessemer, AL, Daisy Morgan of Uniontown, AL and Emma Huggins of Sarasota, FL; two sisters-in-law, Pearline Drake and Mildred Drake both of Brooksville, FL; one brother-in-law, Booker Byrd; ten grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, a host of favorite nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Also special friends, Robert Leonard, George Leonard, Leon Leonard, Alice Rawls and David “Red” Smith.
