Obituary for Roberta Marie McGowan
MCGOWAN, Roberta M. (Bobbi) of Largo, died Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Born in Lawrence, MA on May 13, 1965, daughter of the late Robert & Cecile McGowan. Survivors include her partner of 32 years Peter Foley, a daughter and son-in-law Amanda Register and Randy; a son, Adam Foley & companion Abby; bonus daughter Kaitlyn Grider; Brother Joe (Donna) Joy; Sister Cindy Colozzi; 5 grandchildren Austin, Payton, Tyler, MyKenzie & Kaden; Bonus Parents James and Edna Wood along with nieces, nephews, and many other extended family and friends. Bobbi grew up in the New England area and moved to Florida in 1989, where she remained, and raised her family. Bobbi worked in customer service and in 2011 graduated with her Associates Degree in Accounting. Bobbi enjoyed being at the beach, spending time with her family- especially her beloved grandchildren, and was an avid crafter-specifically plastic canvas crafts and crocheting. A Celebration of Life will be held per her wish on March 6, 2021. In leu of flowers Bobbi requested donations to be made to The Children’s Cancer Center.
