Demise: March 27, 2016, 8:25 p.m. at HPH Hospice Care Center
Ruby was educated in the public schools of Albany, GA and Brooksville, FL. Ruby started her Christian walk young and was a devoted and dedicated Christian. She began at Allen Temple A.M.E. Church in Brooksville, FL. She later moved to Tampa, FL and was united with Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She met and married Willie Weaver and to this union one daughter, Eva Louise Weaver was born, both preceded her in death.
In her church she served as Secretary of the Sunday School; she started the Easter egg hunt with the golden egg; Usher Board #1; G.T. Martin Ministry; Deaconess Ministry; Bethel Light Senior Ministry and she was known as the cookie lady. She was a member of the Eastern Star Evening Light #32.
She leaves to mourn her passing, five sisters, Lucy Lee of Lauder Hill, FL, Mary H.. Flowers of Fort Pierce, FL, Jimmie L. Nelson of Avon Park, FL, Ida Williams and Clyde Logan of Brooksville, FL; fourteen nieces and nephews, Charlie Matthews, Bettye Horne, Gwendolyn Lee, Edward Lee, Carolyn Bennett (Theodore), Sandra Williams, Beverly Todd (Jerome), Gregory Brown, Ray Flowers (Shannon), Ned Childress (Antoinette), Jewel Dixon (Calvin), Vanessa Maner, Abigail Nelson and Jason Nelson; a host of sorrowing grand-nieces and nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
