Sammie Lee Duncan, Jr. was born on June 19, 1954 in Luray, South Carolina. He later moved to Brooksville, Florida. Sammie was a dedicated worker in his community and on his job. Sammie was a kind, loving, and compassionate father and son.

He leaves to mourn his passing, a loving and devoted fiancé Sylvia Roberts; a loving mother, Evelyn Duncan; and two sisters, Patricia Duncan Wells (John) of Clermont, FL and Hercell Taylor of Estill, SC. Ten children, Sammy Duncan III, Rodney Duncan, Zachery Duncan (Deceased), Anthony Carr, Sheddra Delaine (Orlando, FL), Germaine Duncan, Kendra Duncan, Elsie Burnett, Tamara Duncan, and Cheyenne Duncan, all of Brooksville. Two step-children, Michael Brown Jr. and Marque Brown, both of Brooksville, FL. Eight uncles, Oliver Duncan (Earlene) of Gifford, SC, John Duncan of Philadelphia, Maybank Duncan (Bertha) of Estill, SC, Jessie O’Banner (Nelson) of Tampa, FL, Richard O’Banner (Mariah) and Oscar O’Banner (Ann), all of Brooklyn, NY, Robert O’Banner (Cynthia) of Webster, FL, and Frankie O’Banner (Sabrina) of Brooksville, FL. Eight aunts, Josephine Lewis of Savannah, GA, Ann Garvin of Philadelphia, Rose Duncan of Brooklyn, NY, Bernice McKay, Corine Washington (James), Jerrylen Williams (George), and Onnie Bell Graham, all of Brooksville, FL. 14 grandchildren, Troy Jr., Ke’Andre, Jabari, Nate, Tatianna, Deron, Lil Rodney, Rod Neisha, Rod’Nae, Germaine “G”, Brianna, Edmond Jr., Mahogany, and A’Reginae and host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
