Sillar Francis Lawson, was born on May 13, 1930 in Sparta, GA to the late Dud Cody and Eve Wilson. She graduated high school in Sparta, GA.

She was the loving wife of the late Marshall (Tippy) Lawson. She was converted at an early age and a loyal and dedicated member of Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church. She served many years on the Steward Board and later became Pro Tem. She was Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, Queen Elizabeth, Chapter 122 OES and was a past member of the Elks Lodge, Herron of Jericho, where she served as secretary for many years.

She leaves behind, one sister Bessie Wilson Foley of Ellenwood, GA; five children, Gwendolyn Lawson of Brooksville, FL, Patricia Lawson of Conyers, GA, Jacqueline L. Mack of Brooksville, FL, Cheryl Honeysucker (James) of Gainesville, FL and Frank Wilson of Deluth, GA; special son, Wiyet Douglas; grandchildren, Brittany Gudger (Tim), Candace Harden, Marshall Harden, Yolanda Mack, Brandee Mack, Cailah Mack, Kendra F. Clark (John) and William R. Douglas; great-grandchildren, Trevor T. Mack, Laydee C. Douglas, Montana Matthews, Justin Harden, Jordan Harden and Isaiah Gudger; one brother-in-law, Sam Lawson (Annie Mae); seven sisters-in-law, Clara Higgins, Erma J. Willis, Marion Spires, Frances Oliver, Beulah Lawson and Martha Lawson; two great-aunts, Vera Chester and Mary L . Wilson; a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
