OBITUARY
Deacon Willie Hollis, Jr.
On this day we celebrate the homegoing of Deacon Willie Hollis, Jr., who was called to his glorious heavenly home on Monday, September 21, 2009.
Willie Hollis, Jr. was born April 23, 1937 in Hernando, FL to Willie and Mildred Hollis. He returned to Hernando, FL two years ago from Ocala, FL. He was a deacon at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church of Hernando, FL.
He retired from the City of St. Petersburg, FL as a sanitation supervisor where he worked for over thirty years.
Willie was preceded in death by his father and mother, Willie and Mildred Hollis and seven siblings, Bertha Houston, Annie Mae Brown, Rosemary Houston, Mary Scriven, Ulysess Hollis, Thomas Jefferson Hollis and David Hollis.
He leaves to cherish his memories; wife, Linda Hollis; four siblings, Martha Fisher, Zebedee Hollis, Hurbert Hollis (Stacy) and Morris Hollis; three brothers-in-law, Lloyd Houston, James Brown and Lewis Scriven; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Yesterday was a learning experience; history. Today is a day to live for today; not for yesterday. Tomorrow is not mine, it is God’s will. In Jesus name. AMEN!
