Texie Lee Watts was born on February 25, 1942 in Prattville, Alabama to the lateJimmy Graham and Katie Brown. She was born seventh of eight siblings.
She met and married, the now late, Joseph C. Watts from Jemison, Alabama. They had five children, which were all raised in Brooksville, Florida.
Texie leaves to cherish her memories: her loving children, Charlotte Watts, Mildred Knight (son-in-law, Monroe Knight), Joseph Watts, Jr., Lacharles Watts of Brooksville, Florida and Willie Watts of Jacksonville, Florida; four siblings, Onnie Bell O’Banner of Brooksville, Florida, Bessie Mae Downs, Jimmy Louis Graham of Jemison Alabama, and Lauretta Reed of Detroit Michigan; seven grandchildren, Casandra James, Monroe Knight Jr. of Brooksville, Florida, Eshanda Nwamara (grandson-in-law, Anthony Nwamara) of Jacksonville, Florida, Tashawnda Ramirez, Precious Knight, Joseph Knight of Brooksville, Florida and Jayla Watts of Tampa Florida; nine great grandchildren, Aisha Gibson, Gianna Forrester, Nyla Ramirez, Shay’la Preston, Nakayla Gibson, Damany Forrester, Johnny Preston, Jasmier Preston, and Arellea Knight of Brooksville, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Her deceased relatives include: her late brothers and sisters, Julius Thomas, Alberta Powell, Albert Graham, and step- brother Leo Goodson; one late granddaughter, Dana’e Watts.
