Parents: Father - Late Eddie Black and Mother - Late Corine Alexander Gordon
Married: Harriet Moore Black 
Survivors: He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife, Harriet Moore Black; sons, Anthony Black (Delicia) of Tampa, FL, Travis Black and Devonte Black both of Winter Haven, FL and Quincy Simmons of Brooksville, FL; daughters, Evelestine Black (Willie) of Brooksville, FL, Vita Black of Winter Haven, FL and Lucinda Elder (Koshan) of Brooksville, FL; brothers, Fred Minniefield Gordon (Althreda) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Jimmie Gordon of Brooksville, FL, Horace Minniefield Gordon (Chantel) of Miami Gardens, FL and James Black (deceased); sisters, Dorothy Brooks (Willie II) of Fayetteville, NC, Mary “Pat” Minniefield of Brooksville, FL, Norma Lawson of Spring Hill, FL and Jessie Minniefield (deceased); sisters-in-law, Lisa Ann Henry, Valerie Archer (Anton) and Helen Finley; uncles, Major Drake (Sarah), James Hall, Sr., Booker T. Byrd all of Brooksville, FL, preceded in death by Arthur Drake, Ernest Drake, Jr., and Robert Drake; aunts, Ethel Outlaw (George), Pearline Drake (Ernest), Mamie Davis, Willie Mobley all of Brooksville, FL, preceded in death by, Mary Drake, Lula Waddy and Hattie Byrd; seven grandchildren; Godchildren, Liza Lawson and Samuel Lawson, Jr.;  and a host of sorrowing relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.  
Willie James Black and his baby girl, Evelestine were both baptized in 1982 by the late Rev. L.E. McGhee at Bethlehem Progressive Baptist Church in Brooksville, FL. Willie was also an outstanding star football player at Moton High School in Brooksville, FL from which he graduated. He was also employed by the Hernando County School Board in he maintenance department.
