James V. Brown was an active member of Allen Temple A.M.E. Church for many years and sang in the choir with a soulful voice. In his early years he attended Moton High School before moving to Bridgeport Connecticut. Where he graduated from Central High School. He attended PHCC. James was employed at Lykes Memorial Hospital as an Orderly and EMT, he was also employed with the Hernando County School System as a Custodian, where he retired in April of 2012. He was an active member of the Fredrick Kelly Lodge # 1270.
 
He leaves to mourn his passing, one daughter Deirdre Brown, Brooksville, FL; one son Desmond Outlaw of Brooksville, FL; his devoted mother Ida B. Williams of Brooksville, FL; devoted aunt, Clyde Logan of Brooksville, F; three brothers William Love (Nancy) of Fort Pierce, FL, Tommy Hall of Brooksville, FL and Carl Hall of Brooksville, FL; two sisters Tracey McNulty of Brooksville, FL and Elaine Andrews (Bryan) of Homestead, FL; four grandchildren Ja’Laun Outlaw, Tayvon Brown, Ja’Quan Brown and Ja’Kiasha Johnson all of Brooksville, FL;  five aunts, Lizzie Brown of Brooksville, FL,  Ruby Weaver of Brooksville, FL, Lucy Lee of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Mary Flowers of Fort Pierce, FL and Jimmie Nelson of Avon Park, FL;  special friend Robert Waddy of Brooksville, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowful friends.
