Fletcher Demise: Tuesday, January 23, 2007 Educated: A graduate of Moton High School A graduate of Florida A & M Barbering School Roy Rea Fletcher was born October 20, 1931, the last child born in this family in Brooksville, Hernando County. As a child growing up, he was fascinated by the scriptures. At age five, he could name all the books of the bible clearly from Genesis to Revelations. He was the pride and joy of his family because he was so small and learned things so well. He was called “Flea” by his school mates because of his size. He was a fun-loving person who kept you laughing. It was no surprise to his family when he became a deacon. He loved his family, his church, and he loved teaching Sunday School. He spent two years in the U.S. Air Force. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Bernice; three daughters, Shenna (Terrell), Paula (Danny) and Sinda (Bartow); son, Roy Rea (Elizabeth); fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eddie Jackson of Hallandale, FL and Sarah Davis (Mack) of Brooksville, FL; brother, Fred Fletcher of Brooksville, FL; six step-daughters, eleven step-grandchildren and twenty-three step-great grandchildren; a host of sorrowing relatives and friends.
