His ambition, determination, love for family, friends, charitable heart and his ability to recognize the best qualities in all individuals is the reason why he is so well loved by so many people.Steven Lamont was born on December 24, 1972 in Brooksville, Florida to proud parent Kariletha Roundtree Moore. He was a member of Mount Pilgrim Freewill Baptist Church in Brooksville, Florida and a graduate of Central High School class of 1991. Full of life and abition, he was affectionately known, well respected, admired and embraced in his community by all who knew him. Steves desire to travel the world, honor his country and support his family and friends was his motivation and inspiration to enlist in the United States Armed Forces in 1992. During his tour of duty, he traveled to several states and countries, which included Germany, Fort Polk, LA; Korea; Fort Riley; and Hawaii. His duties while serving in the Armed Forces were: a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic, Company Training Sergeant, Squad Leader, Maintenance Support, Team Leader and a Platoon Sergeant.While stationed in Hawaii, heattended the Warrant Officier Candidate Cource at Fort Rucker, Alabama then returned to Hawaii where he served as a Maintenance Technician. He was preparing to re-deploy to Iraq withhis unit assisting with OperationIraqi Freedom.Among his accomplishments, Warrant Officer One Steven Lamont Roundtree received several awards and decorations. These include: four Army Accoummodation Medal Awards, four Army Achievement Medals, four Good Conduct Meadal Awards, National Defense Service Medal, three NCO Professional Development Ribbons, Army Service Medal, and overseas service ribbon awards. His life is a testimony to the saying: "It is not how long one lives, but what he accomplishes while he lives."Steve will be greatly missed by those who he left behind to cherish his memories: A loving and devoted wife Tynice Geathers Roundtree from McClellanville, SC, one sone Stephen Roundtree from Dade City, FL, Mother Kariletha Roundtree Moore of Brooksville, FL, sister Licia Roundtree, borther, Telly Roundtree from Dade City, FL, nieces: Jamie Smith, Jaborah Smith and Tiara Roundtree, nephews: Michael Roundtree, Demarcus Roundtree, Kevin Haygood and Telly Roundtree all from Brooksville, FL. Two Aunts Delores Hawkins Dove (deceased) and special aunt Tommie Lee Saul from Lacoochee, FL, five Uncles: James Roundtree from Dade City, FL, Neil Roundtree from Brooksville, FL, John Roundtree and wife Darlene from Spring Hill, FL, Timothy Roundtree and wife Mary from Ridge Manor, FL and Randy Roundtree from lacoochee, FL, three great-aunts, two great-uncles and a host of cousins sorrowing friends.Steve's grandmother, Mrs. Joan Smith, was very specail to him and played a significant role in his upbringing. She instilled in him the character traits of ife: Charity; Hope and Belief in God.
